AC Grand Rapids Partners with Innovative Data Technology Company Fokus to Power Recruitment and Performance

Grand Rapids, Mich. (August 25, 2026) — AC Grand Rapids today announced a strategic partnership with innovative technology company Fokus to provide cutting-edge data-driven solutions for player recruitment and squad management.

Incubated in Norwegian club FK Bodø/Glimt, Fokus spearheaded a data-based technical evolution at the club, helping lead to four championships in the last five years and a run to the Round of 16 in the 2025/26 Uefa Champions League.

“Entering into a partnership with Fokus aligns perfectly with our data-centered sporting strategy,” said AC Grand Rapids Vice President of Sporting Operations & Strategy B.J. Snow. “We aim to operate efficiently and smartly, and Fokus’s platform will supercharge the data-driven approach we are taking to recruitment, player management, and performance analytics.”

“AC Grand Rapids is fully committed to a data-driven soccer strategy designed to help the club punch above its weight, making it precisely the kind of club we love to partner with,” said Fokus CEO Lars Gundersen. “We look forward to working with ACGR’s talented and ambitious sporting staff to find every performance edge possible as they head into their first season.”

Led by Snow, a former assistant coach with the U.S. Women’s National Team, the AC Grand Rapids sporting department also includes former U.S. Men’s National Team analyst Eric Laurie, hired in August as Head of Scouting, Recruitment and Performance Analysis. The club’s sporting strategy aims to combine global expertise, cutting-edge technology, and data-backed intelligence to recruit and develop players capable of performing at the highest levels of the game.
